Sound

Being that 5 Letters is a suspenseful thriller/horror, the sounds that the movie emits through every scene are remarkable for the performance of the film. Throughout the production of 5 Letters, everyone in the film location set had to leave if they were not apart of the scene being taken at the time so no unintentional sounds would come interrupt the film. As I said previously in some other blogposts, the masks used in the film restricts the projection of the actors voices, and ways we  countered that was by raising the volume of the scenes that were too low, and a method we could’ve done was using an extra phone and recording such dialogues to then overlay it with the original recorded sound during the editing portion of producing the opening scene. This technique may have had a big impact on our film if it were to be incorporated in it. Other than missing out on the opportunity of improving the sound portrayed in 5 letters, I firmly believe that the movie opener had great sounds as the music was perfect to accurately display a sense of unease and confusion which helps the viewers determine the movie having conventions of both the horror and thriller genres.
